- This beautiful filmed low angle shot of the performance creates an overpowering atmosphere, with the context of the location capturing the viewer’s attention and drawing them into the scene. The light causes shadows to be cast of the performers and instruments and the low angle view as the artist sings down towards the camera creates a strong, bold image.
INSPIRATION
- Clothing here is ordinary, but the bright red hair of the artist makes him bold and the statement jewellery transforms the ordinary look to one of a performer’s.
- This music video is a mix of performance and a rather serious narrative and is edited with cut scenes between flashbacks and the performance and the supposed present, creating a sense of confusion that captivates the audience as they try to uncover the story. The fast cuts between different angles of the performance as the artist raps makes him appear rougher and edgier.

- What I am focusing on with this mv is the choice of locations and the use of lighting and smoke. I want to use a tunnel or subway in my shoot to create this feeling of isolation and the unknown whilst captivating the viewer. Smoke would emphasise the effect of confusion and mystery and would be more visually appealing if the lighting can complement it well.
