POSTER

I sketched out a few simple designs for the poster.

All adopt a similiar layout with two photos - one of each member - and the logo, with the release date and the hmv/itunes logos. The one main decision is whether the poster should be portrait or landscape.

I plan to go for a simplistic design, continuing the flow of mystery and sleekness that flows through the video and digipak. It will also follow the colour scheme of black and white to keep consistency among all the promotional product, this will build on the image of the artists and create stronger associations of the group with the logos and content in their promotional products.

I may however leave the photos in colour so it is more eye catching and appealing or may do the same as the back cover of the digipak and leave one in colour and the other monochrome to fit with the concept of music video. Similarly with the thick band diagonally across the poster, this is to maintain consistency as it reflects on the design of the inner cover of the digipak.

Photos and the logo are almost always included in promotional posters as people can instantly recognise the product/person being advertised. This will make audiences familiar with the stars' image and appearance.
