CONCEPT
Following on from the suggested narrative of the song, I shall interpret the song and produce a visual narrative to go along with the song.
A performance and narrative based music video is ideal as it is a popular option that sells both acting and singing skills and also creates a more interesting watch for the viewers as they are engaged with the plot and familiarise themselves with the artists.
I wrote a list of ideas and inspirations as starting points to look into:
- Water
- Inks
- Running
- Tunnels
I am going to use the suggested narrative from the song and so the general idea is that the video will be a combination of past, present and future somewhat merged into one.

Overlaying shots of the two running, from suffering, denial, frustration, anger and desperation as one friend tries to save the other, fails and becomes angry at himself, whilst the other feels apologetic but hopeless.
Rough Outline of Events
- B calls A from the rooftop - informs him that he intends to end his life
- A attempts to get to him before he does so and so runs to him
- Combined shots of lip syncing and running - A out of desperation and a sense of frustration and B out of depression and hopelessness
- 'past' shots of B walking up the stairs towards the roof top
- A + B running
- 'present' shots of A running to find Band B angry on the rooftop, preparing to jump
- instrumental - A climbs the stairs towards B and the rooftop (slow motion)
- B - prepared to jump
- A gets there, B turns around, apologises jumps (implied), A is distraught
- flashback shots of A+ B happy, laughing etc.
- 'future' but now 'present' shots of A frustrated that he could not save B and 'past' shots of B frustrated (fast cuts)
I definitely want to do a rain scene as it seems challenging but fun and also fits in with the diegetic sound of rain in the song. Running will also be many of the shots - this idea of running from emotions, a display of denial, suffering and pain. The running can also symbolise the frustration and anger and determination as Mikael runs to save Lucifer. Because running can be interpreted in so many different ways, this will work well in captivating the audience as the past, present and future tie into one through the editing.

Whilst attempting to produce a piece with narrative, I do not want to lose the touch of the Korean Music industry that makes it what it is - the fashionable, sleek, cool images that many of their idols possess.
