POSTER

Promotional posters nearly always feature a photograph of the artist/group as they are easily recognisable and would attract the attention of fans.
The inclusion of the logo is also often featured as it once again instantly reminds the viewer of the artist that is being promoted.
Depending on the image of the artist and their newest album release or concert, the colour theme and typography are different to reflect this.

With male Korean groups, most sell the cool image – although some sell cute – as seen here, most of the typography used is bold with sharp edges, emphasising that look. Their clothing helps to build their image as well as most are dressed in dark tones, suggesting mystery and a sleek finish. Most also use another colour to contrast with the dark tones, and it would be a follow up from the colour scheme used in their albums and possibly costumes. – As seen with the BIGBANG poster, the familiar icy blue is used with the white which emphasises the cold, frozen image, but also maintains a consistent flow through their material. The gradient text creates a metal-like effect, adding to the cool, strong image and also to their ‘VIP’ image that they sell.
