INSPIRATION
2PM - 'Without You'
- Korean Idol Group ‘2PM’ is known for their dance and hip hop tracks.
- In this MV ‘Without You’, the rain and monochrome style really caught my eye

The sound of falling rain dominates with the high key lighting falling upon the artist, creating a sinister image. The falling rain is also illuminated by the light, and the slow motion used creates a sense of distress amongst the members, whilst the rain continues to fall freely. This is seen in the following shots of all the members, where they are all introduced and seen in positions that suggest frustration at lost hope.
- It starts with a flash into a pan of someone crouched in the corner of the floor, a position that suggests hopelessness and weakness. The flash coincides with the sound of lightning at the start of the song and this is a technique I will need to use in my video to create similar effects.
