o This independent music video is a combination of narrative and performance. The shots of the members allow the audience to recognise them and are engaging with the close up shots of them looking straight at the camera as seen in many rock videos.

As expected of a rock song, performance is a definite and it works well with the hand held shots to show the passion and emotions of the band. Dark lighting and costuming are also another convention of the genre and it is seen in this video. Genre characteristics are seen because audiences accept that certain conventions fit into certain genres and breaking those boundaries may or may not work but challenging these conventions are always welcomed in an attempt to be unique.
