- Out of all the shots showing the members, there are two particular shows that I admire.
One shows someone punching the rain covered ground and another swinging his arm against the pattering rain. These effects in slow motion show a beautiful spray of water as the impact spreads the droplets. This not only creates an attractive visual image, but prepares the audience for the upcoming video, as it sets the tone of the song and style of the visuals.

Slow motion and movement with water is something I definitely would like to incorporate into my video if possible as this would create a beautiful visual finish and also correspond with the sound of rain and thunder in the background of the song.

- It is also strongly lit with back lights. From this view, we can see a powerful backlight illuminating the general scene, then strong spot light raised by the walls, pointing down upon the members, casting shadows of them and the beautifully structured backdrop.

The framework creates a scene of abandonment and this is emphasised by the use of black and white. The highly contrasted video creates an emphasis and focus on the members as they wear simple black tank tops with black trousers, but also set the tone of the video, to be one of sadness and frustration as they sing about loss of love/break up.

- This is going back the flash technique to create lightning but it is also used here for effect. Parallel to the beat of the song, the artists will be illuminated for a split second, acting as a sort of pulse light.

This is an example of one of Goodwin’s six points, where the visuals reflect the music, and in this case, the lighting is controlled so it directly links to the tone of the music.
