-  This low angle shot enhances the motion of the rain hitting the ground. With the line of horizon just below midway, the rain becomes the foreground of the shot. Along with the rain hitting the ground, in the background, the members are seen as they dance with their movements of stepping on the ground, creating a spray of water, adding to the rain filled shot and keeping with the beat of the song.

There is a very small slight jerk of the camera with each step here as well. Very small, but very effective as it makes the step and the artists appear more powerful. During this process, the members are also occasionally out of focus, adding to the chaotic rainy atmosphere.

INSPIRATION

- Close ups are a common shot in almost all music videos as they reveal emotion and familiarise audiences with the artist. Here it is used during the rap segment, revealing the artist’s emotions and feelings. This is edited with jump cuts between the shots of him lip syncing to shot of slow motion movements of him swinging his arms, creating a trail of droplets and also shots of him standing there in ‘depressed’ positions. Notably in this wide angle shot, he stands with his head in his hands, revealing emotion and creating a slight narrative sense to the music video.

The cuts between the two keep the video interesting and the slow motion is used to contrast with the normal paced shots, increasing and suddenly slowing the pace of video once again, keeping the audience intrigued.

Slow motion makes the artist appear more expressive and emotive which in turn reveals their talent in the acting field. It makes them appear fierce whilst maintaining a serene, calm image, balancing the two to create this beautiful, real image of the star.
