DIGIPAK

Outer Cover (Front and back)

On the front side, the monochrome photos reflect their genre and tone of the song 'Nokturn Sonata' with the associations of black and white being bland, mysterious and sadness. The logo sits between the two photos in the centre being the focus with the words 'debut album' underneath it, informing consumers of the album type.

The lines above and below the logo emphasise the focus on it and make it stand out amongst the monochrome photos. Both photos are close ups showing their faces, which familiarises people with them and the positioning of the logo in the centre suggest that these two are the members of the group.

The back cover shows another two close up photos, once again familiarising people with their faces and image. The logo is placed at the top to strengthen the link of the group and that logo. Contact details are at the bottom so consumers may further look into their work and it is printed in a clear, straight font, creating a bold and formal effect. The standard bar code and symbols sit on the bottom right - similar to many other digipaks. The tracks are placed on the left so they are clear and away from the symbols on the right.

One of the two photos are monchrome as to the other one in colour - this reflects on the song 'Nokturn Sonata' where one of them die - this idea of loss of happiness, colour and existence is represented through the back and white as to the vibrant photo of the member who supposedly survives. It also adds a burst of colour to the otherwise rather bland digipak, making it more appealing.
