I am thinking of using Southwark Cathedral as a backdrop for some of the shots.

The beautiful design of the place with its carefully lit exterior will illuminate the outline of the building at night, magnifying the sharp edges and spikes. This helps to create an eerie atmosphere and would also fit in nicely with the idea of giving up and losing hope.



The use of a Cathedral also ties in well with the narrative, being a symbol of hope and light in dark times - in this case, the character's suffering in life.
