SONG

Using social networking sites such as YouTube and Facebook to contact the artists and ask for permission to use the songs.

He replied informing me that it was his original song and that I had his permission to use the song for my coursework.

With a song to work with, a concept had to be developed as with visual ideas. Rain is something I definitely want to experiment with as it reflects the sound of rain that starts the song, setting the solemn mood, it will also be a great and challenging task that would create more appealing visual.

The choice of a dark, sinister song allows me the freedom to experiment with a range of visuals and develop a strong, engaging narrative.

This song does not use the mainstream synthetics and such and so a strong narrative with a focus on selling and promoting the artist is vital in engaging audiences and producing quality media products.

The target audience would be 15-20 year olds - with a larger focus on the female gender - these are the target audiences for most Korean (male) artists. However, nowadays, the range has increased from around 13-23.

The lyrics were posted in the information box and so they were easily accessible and could be translated. However, due to the fact that I myself cannot read Korean, I had to use Google Translate to make sense of the lyrics then asked a Korean person to translate and romanise the lyrics so they could be easily learnt.
