o This video shows Rihanna selling her sexy image with her hands running over her body and the revealing clothes. She looks directly at the camera provocatively, seducing the viewers. Other shots include the camera panning up her body and close ups of her winking and biting her lip, which is associated with the idea of ‘sexy’. This is a prime example of Goodwin’s theory and it is undeniable that many artists – most notably female artists – do choose to sell a provocative image to increase their audiences.
