- 2011 album ‘Talk That Talk’ saw Rihanna return to the strong, cool image with attitude.

The familiar 'R' in the edgy typography continuing that cool image from the previous years. The black and white colour scheme and open mouth whilst looking directly into the camera creates a menacing, engaging look. The statement jewellery emphasise this and her head tilted slightly lower with her looking from beneath her hair and eyelashes appear devious and also emphasise on her tough image.

- Starting off being marketed as a reggae singer, she worked with various genres of music including pop, R&B, and dancehall. As her music career developed, her focus was on R&B and pop with the occasional reggae, rock or dancehall influence. The change in image of Rihanna over the years keep her fans with new, fresh material and also a chance for the artist herself to experiment with her vocal range. Her development in style and image is what gained her new fans and built her a strong fan base and this is vital for artists to keep their career alive.
