The GazettE – ‘Miseinen’ 

o This J-rock song expresses the feelings of an angst teenager trying to find one’s freedom. The deep meaning of the song is complimented with medium long shots of people running overlaid with performance shots, relating to the lyrics such as: ‘I began running,  frantically aiming for the sky’

o This video follows the conventions of low key lighting and strong contrasts, creating that edgy feel, emphasised by the instruments of the bass and drums in the song. The band also wears stereotypical ‘rock clothing’ with edgy hair and makeup. The focus is the main vocalist, with him being placed in the centre of the band in the wide angle shots of the band playing and close ups of him as he sings.
