- The first debut studio album ‘BIGBANG Vol. 1 – Since 2007' – released in December 2006 sold over 48, 000 copies by February 2007. - The album features a solo from each member and also shows the groups different images.

CASE STUDIES
- In the music video for their song ‘Dirty Cash', they sell cuteness with their oversized framed glasses, cute hats and bright colours, making them appear somewhat child-like and innocent. Yet they still maintain their edge through the way they perform in the performance scenes in the video and the tattoo on G-Dragon’s arm – in which tattoos are often associated with cooler images, but the overall image of the group in this video is full of cuteness.

This performance based video with dance and the use of expensive cars once again follows conventions of R&B videos and this features all the members, in an attempt to show their talents. All artists have to find their styles and here in their first album, they experiment with various images to see which one would sell the best for future albums.

'A Fool's Only Tears'

- The album also has another song ‘A Fool’s Only Tears’ which shows another very different image.

In comparison to the cuteness from ‘Dirty Cash’, they hold a sleek, stylish, cool image in this video where they wear leather jackets, a simple white tank top with accessories and dance in the rain.
