Both also have a piercing and wore an earring. This also adds to the ‘cool’ image and appeal as many male celebrities do to conform with fashion trends that appeal to the audience.

The hairstyles were also comparable to those of real Korean celebrities with the simply styled long hair with the fringe which is common amongst many male celebrities such as Lee Hong Ki and the styled up Mohawk with people such as Jay Park.

Hair, fashion and make up play a key role in selling artists and especially male Korean artists as these are the expectations of them as they set trends amongst the younger generations and within the industry. As the competition is tough, artists have to make sure to reinvent themselves and not always conform to one style in order to maintain the interest of the audience.
