The quality of the video was shot in HD, however due to the fact that the camera was not designed for filming and there was insufficient lighting whilst filming in dark conditions, some scenes appeared slightly grainy, detracting from the sleek, quality finish that is expected of Korean music videos made using professional equipment. However, in effect it adds to the solemn, dark tone of the video and song and contributes to the sense of confusion that is created through the editing.

Likewise, more lighting equipment could have created a more professional finish. With a more powerful lighting set up, the rain scenes could have been improved as would the photos used for the digipak and poster.

However, the limited lighting creates a more dramatic effect which fits in with the tone of the video and the sensitive theme of death. Just as Andrew Goodwin states with one of his six points, the visuals must reflect the music and this is supported by the use of lighting.

I also used light leaks which are often used in pop videos to add a more glamorous feel to them. These are also often used in Korean music videos such as the 2PM ‘Without You’ video and in a range of FT Island’s videos. It adds a bright burst of colour to the dark video and creates a flashback effect, suggesting the past, present and future altogether. It also instantly makes the video look more professional and of a big budget.
