The weather caused another problem on the day of the shoot. The unpredictable weather delayed the filming schedule and resulted in some scenes not being filmed accordingly. However, the cast were very professional and efficient in that they continued filming – even in the cold water for the rain scene – after long hours of shooting and the cold British weather. Determination for a successful video was what kept us going.

Time proved to be another issue. In a real music video production, filming may often consist of two consecutive days of filming, but finding a time that cast and crew are free proved more difficult than it seemed and so we attempted to complete the shoot in one day which lasted 12 hours straight. Despite the limitations when producing a DIY video, I tried my best to follow the conventions and procedures of music video production.

Having two males as lead roles is also slightly unconventional as most Korean male groups consist of three people or more and because most songs are generally about love or relationships, the lead roles are usually a male and a female.

By using two males, it encourages further interpretation from the audience as it could hint on a homosexual edge, pushing boundaries and questioning society. Although simply seen as a strong bond of friendship between the two, audience feedback has shown me that some view the two in a homosexual light due to the romantic images of running to one another which is often associated with the cliché scenes in romance dramas and films.

Along with the absence of an apparent reason for suicide and the implied suicide, the whole video is entirely up to interpretation since it is not visually shown. Unlike most music videos in the pop genre that sell the artist in a specific light, this video allows the audience to form their own interpretations or ideas of the artists.
