On the inner cover are photos from two other locations seen in the music video – one in the car park and one on the rooftop.

The top photo shows Dzung at the car park, knelt down, head resting on his hand and staring directly at the camera. The bottom photo shows Han Kim against the wall, arms stretched out also looking straight at the camera.

Both poses suggest confidence and reveal a bolder, sexier image of the two in contrast to those photos seen on the outer front cover.

The back cover shows one photo in colour and the other monochrome. This adds a touch of vibrant colour to the outer packaging but is also used to reflect on the narrative of the music which conveys the idea of life and happiness, death and the past. The close up side profile brings attention to their earrings, once again reinforcing the star image that is currently selling on the market.

Han Kim with his arm stretching out on the wall, one hand holding his collar and the photo cropped so he dominates the frame and becomes the focus of the photo show an overflowing confidence. It is very masculine and intense as the expression conveyed directly appeal to the audience.

The eye makeup and extra attention given to the leather jacket because of his hand touching it add a darker, more sinister feel which reflects the tone of the music video (both song and narrative) and contrasts with the sad, more solemn, hopeless image of him on the front cover.

Similarly with Dzung’s, the raised arm to his head brings focus to the accessories, building on his star image and the stare through slightly slanted eyes portray him in a more charismatic, suave light as to the edgier, deeply-in-thought expression on the front cover.

The division is inspired by real media products – BTOB’s album – It creates a bold, eye catching split between the photos and also represents the separation in relation to the narrative of the title song ‘Nokturn Sonata’. This type of decision is equally eye catching and another convention of

page design to entice the audience.
