It also led to my decision of locations, clothing and poses of the members in the photographs. I had to also research on possibilities of locations I could use as I needed suitable spaces and spots to convey the narrative and tone of the video appropriately. I used the internet to search for derelict locations and used social networking sites to communicate ideas and suggestions among friends and contacts. Frankly without technologies, this video would not have been possible within the short time span we had.


I was able to analyse a range of poses from examples found via the internet which I incorporated in my video too as close ups or powerful facial expressions which draw attention and seem to communicate directly with the audience. Equally it refers back to Goodwin’s theories regarding the notion of looking.

I also referred closely to Korean celebrities for inspiration regarding costume design in order to fit in the conventions and suitability for the target audience. The leather jackets, blazer and military styled boots were decisions made because of their common appearance on mainstream Korean artists and the fact that they are appealing fashion statements among fans.
