The advancement of technology has forced upon people the need to keep up with technology and with the internet and digital work being the most common and increasingly popular way of producing and presenting work, the presentation of our promotional package on an electronic platform is totally relevant with current trends. Also, social networking and email provides the opportunity for the digital online portfolio to be shared easily and globally with the efficient clicks of a simple few buttons.

It is precisely the fact that we have gained more access to technologies that were once solely in the hands of the experts and this has drastically changed the way media is promoted.

 

Now young aspiring filmmakers – like myself – can produce film/videos that can be uploaded onto YouTube as an alternative way of breaking into the industry compared to the traditional route.

I used a DSLR (Canon EOS 500D) camera which provided high definition digital filming along with photo capturing at 15 megapixels for the production of my products.

I also used dollys and a tripod to produce more stable shots when filming. I purchased torches and an LED light as alternatives to expensive industry lights and created my own lighting set ups which I researched on the internet, providing sufficient lighting to illuminate the subjects. I managed to re-create my own rain scene using household, easily purchasable materials such as a hose and a water source.

I also did some work at the level of outfit and makeup to create a sleek look for my artists as inspired by Korean music videos.
